How our tracking check works
Clear expectations, no surprises. If anything extra is needed, we explain it first.
- Laser gauges attached to your wheels to measure the alignment.
- Reading compared with the correct setting for your car.
- Result explained, with nothing adjusted until you agree.
- Track rod ends adjusted to bring the wheels back in line where needed.
- Steering wheel checked straight and tyre wear looked over afterwards.

Common questions
- How do I know if my car needs a wheel alignment?
- Common signs are the car pulling to one side, the steering wheel sitting off-centre when you drive straight, or tyres wearing faster on the inner or outer edge. If you notice any of these, bring it in for a free tracking check.
- Should I get my tracking checked after hitting a kerb or pothole?
- Yes. A hard knock from a kerb or pothole can knock the wheels out of line even if nothing looks damaged. It is also worth checking after new tyres or new steering or suspension parts.
- What is Supertracker laser alignment?
- Supertracker is a UK maker of wheel alignment equipment. Its laser gauges clip onto the wheels and shine a beam from one wheel to another, so we can see exactly how the wheels are pointing and set them correctly.
- Is the tracking check really free?
- Yes. The check costs nothing. If your wheels need adjusting we tell you before we start, and any adjustment is at our best rates.
- Where can I get my tracking checked near me in Birmingham?
