Car Servicing & MOTs for Longbridge Drivers

Longbridge is just down the road — about a mile and a half south-west of us along the A38 Bristol Road South. From the new Longbridge town centre it is a straight run north-east into Northfield, and from the West Heath side Longbridge Lane (B4096) takes you to the same road. Most Longbridge drivers are with us in 5 to 10 minutes.

For most of the last century Longbridge meant the Austin works, and plenty of our customers either worked there or grew up with family who did. The site has since been redeveloped into a new town centre, homes and business space, and the cars on Longbridge driveways have changed with it — far more hybrids, newer family cars and, increasingly, fully electric ones.

We service and repair hybrids and EVs as well as petrol and diesel. For a hybrid we follow the manufacturer's schedule, check the engine side just as we would any car, and look at the parts that wear differently — brakes on hybrids and EVs often corrode from lack of use rather than wear out, because regenerative braking does so much of the work.

Plenty of Longbridge residents also commute by train from Longbridge station or out to the M5 and M42, so the car can sit for days and then do a long run. We check batteries, tyres and brakes with that in mind, and diagnose warning lights properly rather than just clearing codes.
