Can I drive my car with an MOT advisory?
Yes. An advisory is not a fail, so your car is still road legal. It means something is wearing and will need attention soon, such as tyres close to the limit or light corrosion. We explain each advisory and tell you honestly how urgent it is.
Where can I get an MOT near me in Birmingham?
We are a DVSA-authorised MOT testing station (site 9030BE) at 640 Bristol Road South, Birmingham B31 2JR. We test Class 4 vehicles (cars) and offer same-day or booked MOTs. Call us on 0121 476 2287.
How much does an MOT cost?
An MOT test is £35 at Northfield. If your car fails, you get a free retest within 10 working days after repairs are completed.
Do I need a booking for an MOT?
No. We offer same-day MOT tests without a booking. Just call us on 0121 476 2287 or drop in and we will fit you in.
When is my MOT due?
Your MOT is due every year after your car is three years old. You can check your due date online or call us and we will tell you.
What if my car fails the MOT?
We provide a clear report showing all failures and advisories. We can quote you for repairs and arrange a retest at no extra charge within 10 working days.
